Brian Ellison Case Study

Im a 69 year old male with a history of back pain trouble for many years. I have been to see many specialists and have had MRI scan to reveal the diagnosis. Other than imbalance of muscle groups in my back and pelvic area I was pleased to know I had nothing major to worry about. I enjoy playing golf and am worried my back pain will stop me from playing the sport I love. As the years have rolled on I have many concerns, including loss of mobility, lack of motivation, posture, weight control and playing golf. I know Danny and thought he can help me. I will be taking part in Danny’s back and active class on Saturday mornings.

Follow up

Following 8 weeks of rehabilitation, Brian feels his mobility has increased and explains his golf swing is more fluent when in full swing. The Saturday back and active circuit training classes have defiantly helped improve strength and flexibility. Stretching and mobilising at the end of the class really helps settle my back and settles any pain I originally had. However Brian is still suffering from pain after golf. We have discussed how we can overcome this problem and Brian is currently undergoing extra home stretching and mobility program I have designed.
